Barbara Kurzrok is no stranger to AXA-Equitable, having provided assistance to her husband, Eugene Kurzrok, for the last 20 years.  Figuring she could become a more active participant, Barbara decided to “officially” join the ranks of the Long Island Branch Sales Force in early 2008.  Working with Gene, Barbara’s business has focused mostly on meeting the estate planning and small business needs of clients and referrals.

As a mom of three children living in Merrick, Barbara decided to pursue her bachelor’s degree when her youngest child started kindergarten.  In 1974, she graduated cum laude from Hofstra University.  An avid singer, Barbara has been involved with the international singing group Sweet Adeline’s for over 20 years, belonging to Twin County Chorus and Anything Goes Quartet.

Barbara and Gene are the proud parents of three children, Stephanie, Scott and Howard, and even prouder grandparents of seven grandchildren ranging in age from 14-26 years.  In 1999 they moved to the Hamlet Windwatch in Hauppauge.  Married for over 50 years, Barbara and Gene shared in a medical miracle in January of 2009 when Gene received an incompatible kidney transplant from Barbara—the ultimate example of what a powerful team they are!

Recognizing the increasingly complex nature of the financial markets, Barbara, along with her partners, formed Pegasus Private Clients Group in 2011 to better serve the needs of the markets they serve.  Pegasus Private Clients Group is committed to providing their clients with the highest level of innovative, professional and quality service in the areas of tax, retirement and legacy planning.
